MIB Instructions

Progress

Week 01
On week 1, we only got brief out our MIB, and turns out I am combine with animation student who pick sonic design. All of the task and project will be similar, the only different is only that I need to use 5.1 and ambisonics sound


Week 02
On week 2, we got an exercise about EQ. We got bunch of sound that we need to edit into a flat one that already been prepared by lecturer. All we need to do is looking for which frequency from the music that need to lower or boost up to match with the flat one.

Week 03
On week 3, we also need to edit sound, but the different in here is that we need to change the sound to be like from telephone, walkie talkie, in the closet, stadium, in the toilet, an also at the airport. Not only we need to change the EQ, but some of the sound like from toilet or stadium, we need to add one more effect, which is reverb.

Week 04
On week 4, we need get two sound that we need to edit. First is the explosion, where we need to make it have the before impact and after impact. In here we learn about reverse, stretch, and modulation. And for the second one is punching sound. We only got one punch mp3, but now we need to combine it and make it like a game punch where there is multiple punch and the final blow.

Project 01
As for the project 1, we need to come up with our own storyline and from that we need to find free sound and combine it into a story that we have been create before.

To put it simple, my story is about a samurai that got enemy while he do his training. So he need to fight him until the enemy cannot fight anymore.


This is my first idea, but while I am doing the sound editing, I realize that it is quite hard to make many enemy attack at once, so I decided to just change it into one single enemy.
