Round 1

So in this project, we get assigned to choose whether we want to make a VFX or stop-motion video. And from the start, I already choose to make a VFX video. First, we need to list down at least 3 VFX. And here is my VFX list and also my proposal for the shots.

Round 2

I got a comment that the storyline is too draggy because it goes up and then loses the tense. The lecturer suggests me to just make it simple, my battle with the mosquito only, and then escalate it nicely. And here is my final proposal

Round 3

I list down all the shots that I need to shoot and then do the shooting at night to make my lighting simple without editing again later on in post-editing. And here is the link to the drive of my shots.

Round 4

Then I combine it and edit it inside my premier pro. First I do the simple one first which is the super speed clap first, and then I did the super punch and the last one is the lightning effect. And here is the final outcome.

Round 5

I gave it to Mr. Martin to get feedback, and here is the feedback

1. act 1 until mc sleep can cut shorter

2. Color kind of raw

3. Screaming king of weak

From that feedback I did changes, and here is the revised video

Reflections

It is really fun to do the VFX video. I experience a lot of things when making this video, from how hard it is to shoot by myself, to the editing of the effect. However, I really enjoy doing all of that. I also have a bit of struggle because from this assignment I just find out that in a premier pro when you put a sound inside a nested video, the sound will not come out that makes my process a bit slow, because after I have done with my first effect, I just find out this bug or maybe I just do not know how to do it.
